& so i have learned that too much season– ing destroys a broth. i sneak you into this poem like a strange religion. you taste of everything that reminds me of Eden. apricot. grapevine. a euphrate of good memories. what should i do with the cicatrix of my heart? here is the white of your eyes, a therapeutic hymn. the love begets light. the light begets a boy with a cheekbone of euphoria. sometimes i just want to sit inside your body & forget what it means to exit. toxic? bizarre? a blade doesn't fulfill its destiny unless a cut occurs. i have loitered so long with hurt, i never thought the jungle could bless me with your arrival—a lark of revival. & so i have learned that too much season– ing destroys a broth. but nothing is extravagant when it involves us-- two sparrows pressing their beaks against each other under a poplar tree.
